Council Minutes of October 10, 2016

MINUTES OF THE MONDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2016, CITY COUNCIL MEETING

 

 

 

The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order at 6:30 P.M., with Mayor Camie Sanders presiding.  Upon roll call, all council members were present.

 

Raisner made a motion, seconded by Sanders, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as written.  Upon roll call, all council members voted for.  Motion carried.

 

The Collector’s Report was read.  $899,541.47 was collected in September 2016 and transferred to City funds.  Sanders made a motion, seconded by Wallace, to approve the Collector’s Report as read.  Upon roll call, all council members voted for.  Motion carried.

 

The Treasurer’s Report was read.  There was a balance in city funds of $8,420,434.29 on September 30, 2016.  Strait made a motion, seconded by LeFever, to approve the Treasurer’s Report as read.  Upon roll call, all council members voted for.  Motion carried.

 

The Investment Transaction Report was read.  There were no Investment Transactions for September 2016.  LeFever made a motion, seconded by McKittrick, to approve the Investment Transaction Report as read.  Upon roll call, all council members voted for.  Motion carried.

 

The Police Report was read.  $1,262.84 was collected in fines for the month of September 2016.  Sanders made a motion, seconded by Rasiner, to approve the Police Report as read.  Upon roll call, all council members voted for.  Motion carried.

 

The Building Permit Report was read.  There were two permits issued and $65.00 collected in fees during the month of September 2016.   Strait made a motion, seconded by McKittrick, to approve the Building Permit Report as read.  Upon roll call, all council members voted for.  Motion carried.

Rasiner made a motion, seconded by Sanders, to approve the street closing request for the Halloween Frolic and Trunk-or-Treat, Monday, October 31, 2016.  Upon roll call, all council members voted for.  Motion carried.

Raisner made a motion, seconded by Wallace, to pay bills as presented in the amount of $527,070.52. Upon roll call, all council members voted for.  Motion carried.

LeFever made a motion, seconded by McKittrick, to pay Wal-Mart Community $330.74.  Upon roll call, all council members voted for except Raisner.  Raisner did not vote due to the nature of her employment.  Motion carried.

Being no further business, LeFever made a motion, seconded by Sanders, to adjourn.  Upon roll call, all council members voted for.  Motion carried.  Meeting adjourned at 7:01 P.M.
