Sealed BIDS for the construction of Proposed Water Main Replacement on Michigan Ave. between Hickory Street and U.S. Route 40, Clark Co., IL consisting of the installation of approximately 3,000 LF of 8” PVC Water Main Horizontally Directional Drilled, 40 Water Meter Installations, 1,700 LF of 1” Polyethylene Service Line Bored and other miscellaneous appurtenances will be received on behalf of the City of Marshall, 201 South Michigan Avenue – P. O. Box 298, Marshall, IL 62441 until 1:00 P.M. , (Local Time) October 18th, 2022, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The Contractor to whom an award shall be made pursuant to this procurement shall be subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Illinois acts commonly known as the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Secs. 2201-2207). The submissions of the proposal or bid by the Offeror in response to this Advertisement for Bids constitutes an acknowledgement of and an agreement by the Offeror that it understands and will comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act.
A payment and performance bond are required in connection with this project. The payment bond shall specifically provide that the Principal must pay all sums of money due or to become due for any labor in accordance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sec. 39(s)-1-12).
