One of The Best Events of the Year is Back – Marshall Autumn Festival

It’s that time of year again, the third weekend in September, when Marshall, Illinois, pulls out all the stops for the Marshall Autumn Fest. This fantastic annual community event is always free to the public.

Don’t miss one minute of the fun and excitement. Most events happen on the courthouse square on September 17, 18, and 19. There will be food vendors, arts and crafts booths, a cake walk, live music, and a variety of entertainment all weekend. The Marshall Autumn Fest parade kicks off at 11 am on Saturday, and as always, the car, truck, and motorcycle show all day on Sunday. There is something for everyone with plenty of activities for the kids too.

Downtown, the excitement is mounting; the local store owners are beginning to decorate their businesses and store windows in hopes of winning the annual window decorating contest. If you are a business and want to be part of the competition, don’t forget to email the committee chair at marshallilchamber@gmail.com with your entry. Please include the name of your business or organization with a contact name, phone number, and address. All entries will be judged two days before the festival.

How to Vote for The 2022 Marshall Autumn Fest Prince and Princess Contest

Every year, girls and boys compete for your votes to become Prince and Princess of Autumn Fest weekend. Vote for the kiddo of your choice at various places around town, including Marshall Dairy Queen, Lion’s Den Pizzeria, or the Marshall Public Library during their business hours in cash or coins. Voting ends at noon on September 14th. If you prefer, you can bring checks made out to Marshall Autumn Fest, or you can vote via the Square app. You can vote via electronic banking using credit or debit cards, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, etc. Contact the Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce with your email address, the child you wish to vote for, and the amount of your vote. The Chamber will email you an invoice for your electronic payment.
